LP starts poll training

The Liberal Party has intensifed its preparations for the forthcoming May 2007 elections with more chapter organizing, political mapping, campaign management training and information/education programs.

LP national director general Chit Asis reported these during a visit to Davao yesterday to confer with local LP leaders.

The LP campaign management training kicked off in Isabela last month. It was given by the LP national headquarters and the liberal think-tank, National Institute for Policy Studies (NIPS).

Similar trainings on planning, preparing, and running an electoral campaign, particularly how to get the votes, deliver the votes, and protect the votes will be conducted throughout the country.

She said next week, among the speakers at the Mindanao Island Congress of the Philippine Councilors League (PCL) in Davao are LP chairman Senator Francis Pangilinan and LP executive vice president Senator Mar Roxas.
